Rules & Regulations

  1. Decorum : The Institute uniform is compulsory during teaching Practice, on all class days, and all the Institute functions except On Wednesday and Saturday. The student teachers should come to Institute clean and tidy. Hair should be well trimmed and combed. Every student should have their identity card and wear it at the Institute entrance and remove it only when leaving the Institute.
  2. Discipline : Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, negligence of assignments, disobedience and disrespect towards members of the staff, or bad moral influence justify dismissal. The student teachers are responsible to the College authorities for their conduct both in and outside the college.
  3. Protection of College Property : It is for bidden to write or scribble on the walls, desks, throw paper or ink about the classroom, or in any way damage the college property. Damage done must be paid for at the discretion of the principal.
  4. Responsibility : Students are themselves responsible for their own books, fountain pens, tiffin-carriers or any other article that they may bring to college. The college is not responsible for any vehicle, cycles, mopeds, etc., that students park in the college compound
  5. Objectionable Literature : Students are strictly forbidden to introduce any sort of comics or objectionable literature into the college.
  6. Participation Games, Functions, and Social Activities : Every student must take part in college games and other activities unless declared physically unfit or exempted by the Principal. Attendance on official college functions like the parents Day, Sports Day, Independence Day, Camp, College Day etc. is compulsory.
  7. During College Hours : Students are not allowed to meet parents or to leave the college premises during college hours without the permission of the principal.
  8. Rule of Language : The Medium of Instruction is English, which alone should be used at all times in the college premises.
  9. Letters : Letters received in the College addressed to the day scholars will not be delivered.
  10. Conduct outside the College : Any reported or observed objectionable conduct outside the College, on the part of students will make them liable to disciplinary action. Students should conduct themselves in such a way that they do not bring discredit to the Institute or to themselves. The good name of the College is in the hands of the staff and students whether on or off the premises. Students and staff should expressively avoid doing anything by word or deed that may disturb the unity and harmony of both in the Institute and in the hostel.
  11. Staff : Students should be respectful towards the staff, polite and courteous to all. On meeting the members of the staff, students should greet them respectfully. This respectful attitude should be maintained on or off the premises. Students should stand when a staff member enters the classroom or when approaches to speak to them. They should like wise stand when the staff member leaves the classroom. It is only for this respectful noble profession they are trained.Ragging is completely forbidden in the College and Hostel. Any student indulging in any form of ragging which affects the physical, emotional and moral psychological health of any student will be severely dealt with and appropriate action will be taken according to the Anti-Ragging law.
  12. Punctuality and Attendance : Students must be punctual on every working day. Late comers should not enter the class without the signature of the teacher assigned by the Principal. No student may absent himself without obtaining leave previously.
  13. Awards : Special certificates will be awarded annually to those who distinguish themselves in Games, Sports, Co-curricular activities, Leadership, Social Service, Elocution, Singing etc. Scholarships, medals and special prizes are awarded annually to deserving under certain conditions.
  14. Don Bosco past Pupil’s Association : The origin of the world Federation of Don Bosco past pupil is dated back to 24thJune 1870. It sprang from the family spirit of the preventive system, at the Valdocco Oratory, Turtin, Italy. The Past pupil’s movement was not something started by the educators as an association for College leavers but for group activities with a selected membership. It grew up on its own with a charismatic vitality at its beginnings. The past-pupils come together and constitute and think that together with the college and Management, they can update the education they had received and make it fruitful.
  15. Co-Curricular Activities : The college offers various opportunities to students to excel in Dance, song, skit, Instrumental, Quiz, Debate, Monoacting / symposium / Elocution, Fancy Dress, Advertisement, seminar, symposium, camp, SUPW, educational tour, indoor, sports, field trips and multimedia presentation.
  16. Cell Phones : Students are not expected to bring their cell phones, Transistors inside the campus. Failing to obey this will compel the management to take a disciplinary action.
  17. Dress Code : Students are expected to be neatly dressed in accordance with the rules of approved etiquette, decency and modesty, avoiding dresses with low neck, shorter sleeveless blouses, hipster sarees, and transparent clothing. Stringent action will be taken against those who violate these conditions.
  18. Residence : The Students shall report to the principal whenever he/she changes the residence.
